The Heart!

"How does your blood flow from your arteries?"

“How does your blood flow from your arteries?”

We have been looking at how our blood leaves the heart through arteries. We did an experiment investigating what happens if your arteries are narrow.  We discovered that if you have narrow arteries this means that your heart is working harder to pump blood around your body. This can lead to health problems. What can you say about your heart?

  • We did an experiment to see how blood flows through your body. the Thin straws went faster then the big straw. When we did the big straw it went slower because it means when your arteries are blocked your heart works harder to pump blood around. .
